SCAARS is a term I coined. It's my philosophy: you must fix the root mechanical problem AND augment biology at the same time. One without the other doesn't work. Stem cell therapies are useless if the original cause of damage hasn't been corrected—the cells will just die in a hostile environment.

SCAARS is NOT better than prosthetics universally. Prosthetics work well in most cases when a joint is completely destroyed. SCAARS is not an alternative for everyone. But for joints that CAN still be saved, SCAARS has a much higher success rate with notable improvement—because it doesn't generically modify joint mechanics like prosthetics do.

What SCAARS IS better than: Every other stem cell therapy being promoted where there's no evaluation of the underlying pathophysiology and biomechanics. Most providers inject cells and promise magic. I evaluate why your joint failed, correct the mechanical problem with 3D surgical planning, and place stem cells directly where regeneration is needed—all in the same surgery under direct vision. No waste, maximum precision.

Note: The SCAARS philosophy (fix biomechanics + augment biology) can also guide conservative treatments like exercise modifications, custom orthotics, and bracing when surgery isn't needed. However, our primary focus is surgical restoration for cases that require it.
